Staying Abreast With Imaging Advances in AI, Tomosynthesis and Titanium CEM
Date: 10 August 2022
Time: 18:00 – 22:00 (GMT +8)
Registration Fee: $25 SGD
Venue: Zoom Webinar
Workshop Synopsis:
Breast cancer in Southeast Asia is on the rise, and dense breasts bring a unique set of challenges. While techniques like Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) can aid evaluation, the huge increase in data significantly impacts radiologists’ workload, who need to evaluate hundreds of images every day with precision and often under time pressure. This is where artificial intelligence can help radiologists by providing clinical decision support and enabling them to optimise their resources to provide the best possible care to their patients.
This workshop will be moderated by Dr. Lester Leong from Singapore General Hospital and feature speakers from world-renowned institutions, such as the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen, Netherlands. In this workshop, you will get a radiologist’s as well as a physicist’s perspective on how AI is implemented to support radiologists in the clinical decision-making in their healthcare institutions. Dr. Ritse Mann will share how AI can help with reading DBT, whilst Dr. Marco Caballo will share his cutting-edge research experience with the use of radiomics in breast imaging. This workshop will also feature Dr. Daan Hellingmann from Siemens Healthineers, who will share a scientific presentation on how AI can be used for interpreting FFDM and thereby reduce the workload on radiologists.
The workshop will further provide participants with the opportunity to join an interactive multimodality case-review session with Prof. Luis Pina from Universidad de Pamplona, Spain. Cases will be loaded on a cloud-based simulator for the audience to view, interact and analyse the data sets live during the virtual workshop session.
